Learning From God's Word

“Lord, you are the God who saves me” (Psalm 88:1).

This is something we should never forget. Sadly, it’s not something that we, always, remember. We look at our circumstances, and we take our eyes off the Lord. It is not easy for us to keep our eyes on the Lord. Often, we are tempted to turn away from the Lord. We are tempted to go back to the world. These are the times when we need to let the Word of God speak to our hearts, and call us back to a closer walk with God. A closer walk with God – this is something that’s beyond us. Does this mean that we have to say “Our situation is hopeless”? In one sense, that’s exactly what it does mean – Without God, everything is hopeless. Happily, this is not the only thing we can say about our situation…
