Livid – and loved

When Saul of Tarsus set out on his journey to Damascus he was livid. He was furious. He was in a rage. He was “breathing out murderous threats against the Lord’s disciples” (Acts 9:1). He was pursuing the Lord’s disciples – with murder on his mind!

This, however, was not the full story. Saul was loved. He wasn’t only the pursuer. He was the pursued. He was being pursued by love, pursued by the love of God, pursued by the God of love.

Soon, his life would be turned around – completely.
